Jas & Rupert at Friars Court, Clanfield, Oxfordshire.
Friars Court Wedding Photography. Friars Court is an historic building originally dating back to 1142, and is a wonderful location to host a wedding. Its tucked away deep in the Oxfordshire countryside and is surrounded by a beautiful moat with arching bridges. The Thames river runs close by and the surrounding landscape and Court gardens are breathtaking. All these features of Friars Court became focal areas for portraits of Jas and Rupert. My style and approach is to be as unobtrusive as possible in order to capture those moments that are usually missed by casually observing. It’s important that images captured during this special day are an honest and truthful account and can tell the story of your day in varied way. Most of the photos taken will be without people being aware of my presence and this also means people will behave naturally and their real character will emerge. I also keep this in mind when we venture off to those special areas I have found for portraits of the Bride and Groom. In typical english tradition, the weather was mercurial and though rain was expected, it didn’t and remained both cloudy and sunny at different times of the day. There was such a warm feeling running throughout the day that I got so lost in and felt so happy to be there as Jas & Rupert’s photographer. The day was filled with so many moments of people laughing, crying with joy, hugging and generally having a great time that my camera was red hot!
