Somerset Wedding Photography. Sarah & Andy at Grand Pier, Weston-Super-Mare.
Wedding Photography Weston-Super-Mare. A fabulous wedding at the Grand Pier with lots of unique moments to capture all throughout the day. The weather was stunning with a hazy light that came off the sea and this gave many of the images a romantic atmosphere. Sarah & Andy are a real fun-loving couple and a real sense of fun and happiness hung in the air and it was a joy to be able to capture this. Wedding photography for me is all about capturing those moments in time that will tell how it all went down. Every wedding I have had the privilege to photograph has been unique and it’s important to capture this and to freeze that feeling that was in the air. To do this, I aim to capture people’s personality and character and this will be of people laughing, hugging, crying and having fun. I do this by being unobtrusive and un-noticed and this is important as people will act naturally and be themselves. These photos termed ‘candid’ or ‘reportage’, are often the most powerful kind of imagery as they tell the truth and this is very much so with wedding photography and my approach to it. I also take portraits of the bride and groom that will also ‘wow’ people when you show them off. At the right time we’ll sneak off to locations that I have found and these shots can be termed lifestyle photographs as I attempt to capture the real you and in a relaxed and fun way. I approach all photography in this way as I believe it’s the best way to capture people beautifully and as themselves.
Many wedding venues have beautiful gardens that are landscaped and are great for portraits of the bride and groom however, I also like to venture out to alternative locations that are a little wilder. Areas that create a good contrast to the Bride’s wedding dress and Groom’s suit, like woods, old ruins of buildings, wild fields, rustic areas, urban streets and graffitied walls. These photos will add another side to your collection which can be really stunning. It’s my aim to create a collection of images that will be wonderfully varied and will tell the story of your wedding day in a beautiful, creative, fascinating, and documentary way and I will do this by making the experience a fun and relaxed one for you.
The images in this slideshow are a selection of reportage and portrait photography, for more wedding images and ‘Sneak Previews’ of weddings, please feel free to browse the full website, my blog, or to visit my Facebook and Google+ photography pages.
