Bath Wedding Photography. What can I say, I absolutely loved capturing Sophie and John’s wedding at The Pump Room, Bath. Such a lovely warm and fun couple who I really felt drawn too as we shared many similar interests. As soon as we met I new we had clicked on so many levels and our conversations were crammed full of ideas. We arranged a Skype meeting first as it was initially difficult to meet in person and this is a good idea for couples who live outside of Wiltshire where I am based. I was bowled over straight away by Sophie and John’s enthusiasm for photography and we shared our ideas and different locations for shots on their wedding day. John is a published poet who has a way with words that is outstanding and his poetry style is of the classic romantics. John gave me a signed book of these poems and reading them seemed to transport me back to another time which led naturally into their photos at the pump rooms and in the park. After taking shots in the pump rooms we took a leisurely walk through the busy streets of bath taking natural shots of them enjoying themselves and many onlookers wished them congratulations. Onto the reception venue of the Abbey Hotel with a labyrinth charm that added a whole other dimension to the documentary of their day. The last part of the evening reception was the cake cutting and first dance in the Igloo room, an amazing cavernous ice blue room with nooks and crannies filled with people dancing and enjoying themselves. Sophie has the figure of a professional dancer and when she and John hit the dance floor the place lit up and everyone joined them for fantastic night of shape pulling, humour and celebration! Thank you Sophie and John for choosing me to be a part of your very special day and for the opportunity to document it in photographs.
