Chalk Barn Wedding Photography – A selection of images from Hanna & Jamie’s wedding.

Chalk Barn is located in Pewsey Wiltshire. A secluded gorgeous wedding venue, it boasts 360 degree views that are stunning! It’s position is what makes this venue special and has lots of opportunity for my kind of wedding photojournalism.

What is Photojournalism?

So, what is wedding photojournalism you ask? well, it’s all about capturing key moments as they happen. Usually booked for the whole day, emphasis lies in creating a documentary. The intention, is to capture events as they occur which will tell a wedding story in the best possible way. Moreover, these photographs will capture the personality and character of the bride and groom and guests. These kind of photos are taken throughout the whole day and can be the dance floor action, emotional moments during the ceremony and speeches, and laughter and hilarity with the the bridal party. Like most Wedding photographers we also take those ‘wow’ photos and these are like the icing on the wedding cake, the grand finale!

Documentary wedding photojournalism is my passion, allowing me a wide potential for shots that tell a story. To effectively tell this story, I watch through the lens to see how people react. With my experience, I know when to freeze a moment that will say the most. Unless I’m using a flash gun, my cameras are silent and people are not aware I have taken their photograph ensuring wonderful authentic moments are frozen in time.
