Winkworth Farm Wedding Photographer – A selection from Lauren and Ryan’s wedding at Winkworth Farm, Lea, Wiltshire.
I’m a Winkworth Farm Wedding Photographer who specialises in natural, fine art, documentary wedding photography. Set on the edge of the Cotswolds, Winkworth Farm is a really lovely venue to host a wedding. It’s location, beautiful cotswold stone buildings, layout and fields make a stunning backdrop and lends itself well to my style of documentary wedding photography. Right from the start I knew this wedding would be full of fantastic candid moments for me to capture and it was like this throughout the whole day and evening. The weather was really warm and because it was also very bright, I decided to take more portraits of Lauren and Ryan in the evening when the light was much softer. We ventured out into the fields just down the lane that leads to the farm and captured some really wonderful shots with this hazy golden light. The whole day was filled with non-stop action and activity and I felt I couldn’t put my camera down for even a moment as there was so much going on!
I’m a natural light photographer which means I don’t use artificial lights and strobes to create images but rather I hunt for interesting shadow and light and use this to create drama in images. The perfect opportunity for this was during bride preparations. Lauren decided to get ready in the loft room which was a really good choice as the light and shadow were spectacular up there. While Lauren was adjusting her veil I captured some really fabulous moments as she moved in and out of the beams of light that criss-crossed the room.
