How does it work?

An engagement photography shoot is a fabulous way to document a very special moment in time between two people. It’s a great way capture the bond between you and the love and togetherness you share and to illustrate this in beautiful photographs. The best place for a shoot is to visit a location that holds a special meaning for you both and this can be as simple as a country walk through fields and forests, at your favourite seaside town with sand dunes, beech combing and boats, or an urban setting with cafés, streets and architecture. Whatever location you choose what matters is the meaning it holds for you both and my role is to capture this and create your engagement story in photographs.

My style

My style is a mix of documentary photojournalism with fine art and contemporary portraiture. I take a fun and relaxed approach to every shoot as it is important that couples are not thinking about the camera. For close-up portraits, which can express many things, intimacy, laughter, joy, surprise, tenderness, I will interact with a couple, chat and have fun whilst capturing the interaction between you. By doing this I can capture real emotion, laughter and feeling. I also like to take shots from afar of couples just walking and talking with each other and this could be down a country lane or through a tall field of grass, or chatting with each other seated in a cafe.

I’m a Swindon based engagement photographer and I photograph couples all over Wiltshire and the South West. Priced at £400 for a shoot or £300 if added to a wedding package, it’s a wonderful way to preserve one of the most precious moments in life.
